Prospitalia, Germany’s largest group purchasing organization for hospitals, has rated their 400 contract suppliers for the 9th time in a row and awarded the best among the top 51 in the presence of more than 600 attendees on the occasion of the Annual Congress in Stuttgart at the end of April.
The second prize was awarded to Sarstedt AG & Co.
Andreas Baum, Sarstedt‘s domestic Sales Manager Diagnostics, and Peter Weingärtner, Key Account Manager, accepted the award on behalf of the company from the Prospitalia managers, Bradley Gould and Markus Wild. In his laudatory speech, Markus Wild emphasized the reliable support provided by the sales representatives as well as the outstanding quality of the products. The first place went to Aesculap AG, the third to Paul Hartmann AG.
The scoring was based on the assessment by hospitals supplied by the group purchasing organization, and the rating criteria were quality, price, on-time delivery, service and flexibility as well as environmental awareness.
Sarstedt AG received the very best rating in the important segment of „price-performance-ratio“ so that the already very good 4th place awarded last year could be improved by another two ranks.
We feel particularly honoured in view of the size of the Prospitalia purchasing organization as the provider of 711 senior citizens‘ homes and rehabilitation centres, 534 emergency hospitals, 22 general care hospitals and 8 university hospitals with a total purchasing volume of 2.2 billion Euro, and also consider this a reward for the joint achievements of the company’s entire staff and departments.
Furthermore, the award obviously constitutes an incentive to defend our top rankings and continue improving in other categories in the future.
