In addition to the standard use of serum gel specimens, S-Monovette® serum gel LightPROTECT harnesses the power of light protection for blood sample collection.
In the blood, DNA is mainly found within the cells in the cell nucleus. In addition, however, it is also possible to find small amounts of fragmented DNA in the blood plasma, which is located outside the cells (cell-free DNA).
