Centrifugation

Centrifugation

“Centrifugation is a physical separation process that is based on the different density characteristics of substances such as blood cells and plasma.“[1]

Sample quality is a decisive factor for the determination of precise laboratory results. For optimal sample quality, the centrifugation time and relative centrifugal force should be properly selected.

This program provides the following benefits:

  • Select the centrifugation time or the relative centrifugal force (RCF) for the S-Monovettes Serum-Gel, Lithium-Heparin-Gel and Citrate;

Centrifugation conditions for S-Monovettes

  • Convert the relative centrifugal force (RCF) into rotational speed/min. (min1).

Conversion of RCF into rotational speed or vice versa
