Sarstedt sponsors the 2015 Prize for Biochemical Analysis, worth EUR 50,000

On 14 October 2015, as part of the official opening of the twelfth annual convention of the medical society at the Congress Center in Leipzig, Prof. Dr. M. Neumaier, President of the German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine, and Mr Rainer Schuster, Member of the Executive Board, responsible for Sales/Research & Development, Sarstedt AG & Co. presented the award to Prof. Dr. B. Dahlbäck who teaches at Lund University in Malmö, Sweden.

Prof. Dr. B. Dahlbäck, an internationally renowned doctor and scientist who has won many awards, received this year's prize for his achievements in blood coagulation research.
His research has made a significant contribution to the detection of the molecular principles of protein C and protein S-coupled inhibition of the blood coagulation system.

Among other things, his observations led to the discovery of further biologically important correlations between blood coagulation and the complement system.
