1. New semi-automatic mechanism for maximum safety
The integrated release buttons activate the needle immediately after blood is drawn from the vein. The needle retracts quickly and safely into the needle guard, thereby preventing needle stick injuries and effectively reducing blood splatter.
2. Enlarged wings for easier handling
The larger wings of the new Safety-Multifly® PRO provide an improved onehanded grip.
3. Additional grip option for comfortable handling
In addition to the wings, the grip handle provides additional support for controlled and stable needle guidance.
4. Ultra-thin-walled needle – reduced insertion force
A comparison of the 21G thin-walled needle (TW) with the 23G ultrathin-walled needle (UTW) shows a significant reduction in insertion force.1
5. Ultra-thin-walled needle – faster and gentler blood flow
The larger inner diameter of an ultrathin-walled (UTW) needle, compared to a thin-walled (TW) needle, enables faster blood flow2 and helps prevent haemolysis due to reduced shear forces.

The Safety-Multifly® PRO has been specially developed to meet the demands of a challenging daily care routine and impresses with its safe, intuitive handling. The semi-automatic release mechanism reliably prevents needle stick injuries after blood collection.3
3 Provided the instructions for use (IFU 585) are strictly followed, the risk of a needlestick injury is eliminated when the safety mechanism is activated within the vein and the Safety-Multifly® PRO is subsequently disposed of.
