Promotion of science

We have a desire for progress - both for ourselves and for research and medicine in general. The promotion of pioneering scientific developments is deeply rooted in our corporate culture.

The foundation stone was laid back in 1986 with the first SARSTEDT Research Prize. In the years that followed, this prize, with prize money totalling DM 50,000, was awarded six times to international scientists for innovative methodological and analytical procedures.

Since 2008, we have been the sole sponsor of the prestigious Research Prize for Biochemical Analysis of the German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (DGKL) for quality assurance in medicine. With a contribution of EUR 50,000, we support outstanding achievements in biochemical and molecular analysis - a tradition that has already lasted 40 years.
